Does DOVE have a shelter?

Yes. DOVE House is DOVE Center's emergency shelter for adults and their dependent children fleeing domestic or sexual violence. It is staffed around the clock, a first stay is up to 30 days and can be extended, and room, food, clothing and hygiene items are free. The location is confidential; to ask about shelter, call the helpline at (435) 628-0458. Its Safe Pets Program can arrange 30 days of boarding for pets.

Are DOVE services free?

Yes. Shelter, the helpline, advocacy, counseling and support groups are free. Counseling starts with an intake appointment, which you can schedule through the helpline.

How can you volunteer or donate?

Volunteers must be 18 or older, fill out DOVE's application, meet with the volunteer coordinator at (435) 628-1204 and complete at least eight hours of training; roles with clients also need a background check. Hospital advocates train for another 40 hours and take on-call shifts. Donations are made online through the donate link on dovecenter.org.
