Is Sand Hollow State Park Closed for Construction? Quick Answer
Not closed, but parts of it will be affected. A notice on Sand Hollow State Park's official page says the water conservancy district will do construction inside the park from December 1 to February 2027. The notice says the work affects the southern beach day-use areas, Beachside Campground and Cottages, and Sandpit Campground, and that potable water may be turned off for a few hours at a time during that stretch.
The notice does not give an end day in February, and it does not say what is being built. We did not find a project notice from the Washington County Water Conservancy District describing the work. If you have a reservation in those areas, call the park at 435-680-0715 before you go.
