Can I learn to ride at Zion Harley-Davidson?
Yes. The dealership runs the Harley-Davidson Riding Academy New Rider Course, with classroom and range lessons from certified coaches on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Graduates earn a completion card that may exempt them from the riding part of the state license test and may lower insurance costs. Register and see class dates on zionhd.com.
The Riding Academy page says to bring your driver's license or learner's permit and to wear a long-sleeve shirt or jacket, long pants, over-the-ankle boots, eye protection, full-finger gloves and a DOT-certified helmet. Some classes include an online Motorcycle Safety Foundation eCourse of about three hours to finish before the first session.
Does Zion Harley-Davidson rent motorcycles?
Zion Harley-Davidson’s website does not list motorcycle rentals, and we found no rental program on it when we checked on October 8, 2026. It does offer free test rides on new Harley-Davidson models, which you can book online. If you hoped to rent a bike for a Zion trip, call (435) 673-5100 and ask first.

Riding near Zion National Park
Zion is the reason many riders stop here. A few things to know before you go:
- Entrance fee: the National Park Service lists a $30 motorcycle pass, valid for 7 days, covering up to two private motorcycles. See our Zion fees and passes guide for annual passes.
- Zion Canyon Scenic Drive: during shuttle season, the park says visitors cannot drive personal vehicles on the scenic drive, so park and ride the free shuttle into the main canyon.
- Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway: State Route 9 east of the canyon, with its long tunnel and switchbacks, stays open to private vehicles and is the classic motorcycle ride through the park.
- Kolob Canyons: the quieter northern section of the park is reached from I-15 at Exit 40, a short ride north of the dealership.
- Heat: summer afternoons in the St. George area are very hot. Ride early, carry water and plan fuel stops.
