What is Alumni Creamery?

Alumni Creamery is an ice cream shop in the Little Valley area of St. George, Utah, that serves ice cream from the BYU Creamery in Provo and other Utah State University and BYU dairy products. It has more than 30 flavors, sold by the scoop from $6, plus floats, old-fashioned sodas and BYU Creamery mint brownies. Owners Perry and Julianna Myers, who met at BYU, opened it on November 18, 2020.

For Utahns who grew up with campus ice cream, it is a bit of Provo in Southern Utah: the scoop sizes are named after college life (Cub, Cougar, Cosmo and the six-scoop Freshman 15), and the shop also sells BYU milk, cheese from USU's Aggie Creamery in Logan, fry sauce and salad dressing to take home. Despite the college names, it is not connected to Southern Utah University or to any Cedar City shop.

What flavors does Alumni Creamery have?

Alumni Creamery keeps more than 30 flavors in its case. When it opened in 2020 the list included BYU Creamery favorites such as Cherry Rockwood, Graham Canyon and Bishop's Bash, and the flavors rotate, so check the case or the shop's social media for what is in today. Floats come with two scoops and your choice of soda.

How much is ice cream at Alumni Creamery?

A single scoop is $6, two scoops $8, three scoops $10 and the six-scoop Freshman 15 is $15, and the shop says its prices include tax. A float is $12, drinks are $4 to $8 and a BYU Creamery mint brownie is $4, according to the menu on its website in October 2026.
