What is Zeppe's Italian Ice in St George?

Zeppe's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard is a Utah dessert chain, founded in Harrisville in 2007, with two stores in St. George: 1013 E 700 S, open Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and 1812 W Sunset Blvd, Suite 2, next to the UPS Store, open Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Both are closed Sundays. It serves about 16 flavors of Italian ice, most of them dairy-free, frozen custard, Dole Whip and its signature gelata: Italian ice layered with custard or Dole Whip.

Menu

Besides Italian ice and custard (vanilla, chocolate, twist and seasonal flavors), the menu has concretes, the Little Italy, cream ice, blended gelatas, mangonadas and floats. Toppings are $1 each, and a waffle cone on a large is $1 more. The Sunset store, which reopened in late 2025 in the original St. George Zeppe's spot, adds pretzels, donuts and more custard flavors.

Food Trucks and Events

Zeppe's catering trucks serve events in Washington County. Book through the catering form on zeppesitalianice.com two to four weeks ahead; setup, serving and cleanup are included, tastings can be arranged, and prices are quoted per event. It also runs fundraisers for schools and groups. It does not publish a public truck schedule.
