About Bonrue Bakery - St. George

Bonrue Bakery is a European-style artisanal bakery that brings sophisticated baking traditions to St. George. Founded in 2021 by three accomplished food craft connoisseurs, this establishment was created as a tribute to exceptional culinary craftsmanship and the celebration of good company through good food.

The bakery operates from their St. George location at 18 S. 200 W., serving as the flagship of their expanding Southern Utah presence. The name "Bonrue" draws inspiration from French words meaning "good" and "street," reflecting their commitment to bringing quality European-style baking to the local community.

Bonrue Bakery specializes in artisanal pastries, fresh-baked breads, and café-style offerings prepared daily using traditional European techniques and premium ingredients. Their approach combines old-world baking methods with contemporary Southern Utah tastes, creating unique products that appeal to both locals and the significant tourist population visiting the region.

The establishment was founded with a special tribute to Chris Herrin, one of the original founders who had extensive experience working at renowned establishments including Bouchon and French Laundry before his passing in 2021. This background brings exceptional culinary expertise and attention to detail that sets Bonrue apart in the Southern Utah bakery landscape.

With convenient online ordering available and a focus on artisanal quality, Bonrue Bakery serves as a destination for those seeking elevated baking experiences in the St. George area.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day USS Utah Ceremony

Honor the memory of those who served and sacrificed at Pearl Harbor during this solemn USS Utah Remembrance Ceremony on December 7th. This annual ceremony brings together veterans, military families, community leaders, and citizens to pay respects to the Greatest Generation and reflect on the bravery of those who defended our nation. The program includes military honors, wreath laying, a 21-gun salute, playing of taps, and remarks from veterans and civic leaders. This free public ceremony serves as an important reminder of the sacrifices made for our freedoms and Utah's unique place in World War II history. All community members are encouraged to attend.
