Canyon Park east side at a glance

East Canyon Park is the east half of Cedar City's Canyon Park, the city park split by Coal Creek at the mouth of Cedar Canyon. Google Maps lists it as "Canyon Park, East Side". It is at 500 E Center St, off Center Street where it becomes Highway 14, with a parking lot beside the road. The west half, West Canyon Park (Ann J. Gardner Park), is at 133 S 400 E. The paved Coal Creek Trail runs along the park: west about four miles through town to Bicentennial Park, and east about two miles up Cedar Canyon beside the creek. Dogs are allowed. Entry and parking are free.

Pavilion reservations

Reserve in person at the Cedar City Aquatic Center, 2090 W Royal Hunte Dr, or call (435) 865-9223. Half-day (10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and all-day bookings include the volleyball court; the season runs mid-April to mid-October and booking opens the first working day in January. Fees are not published online. The city does not publish park hours.
