Gulch Design Group

Gulch Design Group is a locally owned custom residential architectural design and planning studio located at 873 N Coyote Gulch Ct in the Kayenta Art Village in Ivins, Utah, crafting site-specific desert-modern homes across Kayenta, Ivins, and Washington County.

Site-Specific Desert Architecture Led by Matthew Marten

Led by Principal Designer Matthew Marten, Gulch Design Group operates from the heart of Coyote Gulch Art Village where the firm designs custom homes that integrate directly into Southern Utah's desert arroyos, lava rock ridges, and red mountain vistas. Every residence is planned from the ground up around the lot's natural contours, solar orientation, and privacy lines.

Custom Home Plans, Passive Solar Orientation, and 3D Renderings

Open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Gulch Design Group guides property owners from raw land evaluation through permit-ready construction drawings:

• Custom Desert-Modern Home Design: Bespoke floor plans and elevations blending indoor living areas with shaded courtyards, pools, and view decks.

• Passive Solar and Topographic Siting: Strategic window placement, roof overhangs, and thermal mass orientation to capture winter sun and block summer heat.

• 3D Visualization and ACC Submittals: Photorealistic 3D architectural renderings, Kayenta Architectural Control Committee (ACC) review packages, and complete construction documentation.

Clients purchasing custom homesites through Kayenta Homes & Properties frequently collaborate with Gulch Design Group and local Ivins trades such as Airco Heating & Cooling and MSR3 Landscape.
