Lin's Fresh Market Hurricane

Lin's Fresh Market Hurricane is a full-service grocery store at 1120 State Street in Hurricane. It is one of the main supermarkets for Hurricane and nearby LaVerkin, Toquerville and Virgin, and it sits on State Route 9, the highway many visitors take to Zion National Park.

A Southern Utah Grocer

Lin's started in Cedar City. The company says Lin and Reva Orton opened the first Lin's on Main Street there more than 50 years ago, and the business later passed to their sons. Associated Food Stores, a Salt Lake City cooperative that supplies independent grocers, bought Lin's in 1999. Today Lin's operates stores in Cedar City, St. George, Hurricane, Price, Richfield and Overton, Nevada.

Hours

The store is open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. The pharmacy is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Call the pharmacy directly at 435-635-3840.

Stocking Up for Zion, Sand Hollow and the Hurricane Cliffs

Hurricane is a base for outdoor trips in Southern Utah. Zion National Park is about 25 miles east on SR-9 through LaVerkin and Virgin. Sand Hollow and Quail Creek state parks are just outside town, and the mountain bike trails on the Hurricane Cliffs and Gooseberry Mesa draw riders from around the country. Because State Street is on the way out of town, the store is a practical last stop for ice, water, sandwiches and snacks.
