Services

Red Rock Pest Control lists general, residential and commercial pest control, with treatment for the pests most common in Washington County homes: cockroaches, ants, scorpions, spiders, termites, silverfish, earwigs, millipedes, centipedes and tent caterpillars, plus rodents. For builders and home buyers, it performs FHA/VA licensed termite inspections and pretreats new construction for termites.

The company advertises free estimates, often same-day service, no contracts, EPA-approved methods, and what it calls a 30-day "no bug, in your house" guarantee. Contact it directly for the terms of that guarantee.

Pests in Southern Utah

St. George's desert climate shapes pest pressure year-round. Bark scorpions and other arachnids are active in the warm months and look for cool, sheltered spaces around block walls, landscaping rock and garages. Ants and roaches move indoors when summer heat pushes past 100°F, and spring and late summer storms can bring swarms. Subterranean termites are present in the region's soils, which is why termite inspections are part of many real estate transactions and why new construction is often pretreated before the slab is poured.

Washington County's rapid growth matters too. New subdivisions are built into native desert habitat, and freshly disturbed ground can send insects, scorpions and rodents looking for new shelter in nearby homes. Regular perimeter treatment and sealing gaps around doors, weep holes and utility penetrations are common recommendations for homeowners in newer neighborhoods.

Choosing a Pest Control Company

Utah requires commercial pesticide applicators to be licensed through the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food. When comparing companies, ask about licensing, what a service plan includes, how often treatments are scheduled, and what happens if pests return between visits.
