What It Is

Southwest Plumbing Supply (SWPS) is a family-owned wholesale supplier of plumbing, waterworks, HVAC and irrigation products, established in Cedar City in 1989 by Garth O. Green. From Cedar City it grew to branches in Price (1997), Ephraim (2000), Springville (2005) and Mesquite, Nevada (2009), and it says it serves all of Utah, Northern Arizona and Eastern Nevada. There is no St. George branch. Brands on its site include American Standard, Bradford White, Delta, Kohler, Moen, Toto, Rheem, Watts and Zurn, with Rain Bird and Toro for irrigation and Ridgid, Milwaukee and Makita tools.

The company says its target market is the professional contractor, with contractor bids and credit accounts, but it publishes no trade-only rule: its site invites anyone replacing a toilet or installing a kitchen sink, it sells online at swplumbing.com, and its Kitchen & Bath Distinctions showroom is open to homeowners. Call before a trip if you are not a contractor.
