Looking for a massage in Cedar City after a long drive, a day at Cedar Breaks or a week of classes at Southern Utah University? This guide compares three Cedar City massage studios that publish their services and prices: what each offers, what a session costs, when they are open and how to book. It also covers how to check a therapist's Utah license and what to expect at your first appointment. We checked every price and hour below against each studio's own website or booking page on October 8, 2026.
What types of massage are available in Cedar City?
All three Cedar City studios we checked offer Swedish, deep tissue and prenatal massage. Two also list sports massage, two offer hot stone, and some menus add warm bamboo massage, lymphatic drainage or assisted stretching. Sessions run 60, 90 or 120 minutes, so compare each studio’s menu and pick a length before you book.
Swedish massage
Swedish massage uses long, flowing strokes with oil or lotion at light to moderate pressure, and it is the usual choice for a relaxing session. All three studios offer it, and Balanced Massage Therapy also lists a general therapeutic massage.
Deep tissue massage
Deep tissue massage uses slower, firmer pressure on deeper layers of muscle. Tell your therapist during the session if the pressure is too much, and expect some soreness afterward. It is on the menu at all three studios and costs $85 to $90 for an hour.
Sports massage
Stone Path Massage & Energy Center and Breezy Massage both list sports massage, aimed at runners, hikers, cyclists and student athletes. Stone Path also offers assisted stretching, on its own or combined with a massage.
Prenatal massage
All three studios list prenatal (pregnancy) massage. Mention how far along you are when you book, and check with your doctor or midwife first if you have any concerns about your pregnancy.
Hot stone and bamboo massage
In hot stone massage, the therapist places and works with heated stones on the body. Balanced Massage Therapy and Stone Path offer it in 90- and 120-minute sessions. Both also list bamboo massage, which uses warm bamboo tools in place of stones.
How much does a massage cost in Cedar City?
At the three studios we checked on October 8, 2026, a 60-minute Swedish massage costs $75 to $85 and a 60-minute deep tissue massage costs $85 to $90. Ninety-minute sessions run $105 to $135, a 90-minute hot stone massage is $130, and two-hour sessions cost $150 to $220, before any tip.

How do you choose a massage therapist in Cedar City?
Start by checking the therapist’s Utah license, then match the studio to what you want: a quiet relaxation session, firm deep tissue work, sports massage, or a prenatal session. Compare session lengths, prices and hours, read recent reviews, and ask about the cancellation policy and any pressure or health concerns before you book.
- Check the license. Utah licenses massage therapists through the Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL). A licensed massage therapist has passed the MBLEx exam and a criminal background check, according to DOPL. Utah also issues separate massage apprentice and massage assistant licenses. Look up any therapist by name or license number with the state's free license lookup ; it shows the license type, number and expiration date.
- Match the specialty. If you want sports or prenatal work, choose a studio that lists it, and ask whether the therapist you are booking does that kind of session regularly.
- Read recent reviews. Booking pages such as MassageBook and Setmore show reviews from clients who booked through them. Look for reviews from the last few months that name the therapist.
- Ask about cancellations. Small studios often have a cancellation window. Ask how much notice they need before you book.
- Share health information. Tell the therapist about injuries, pregnancy, medications or recent surgery, and ask your doctor first if you are unsure whether massage is right for you. Massage does not replace medical care.
