Washington City New Year's Eve Fireworks

Washington City celebrates the arrival of the new year with a fireworks show at 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2026. The Washington City Community Center building is closed that night, but the city says its parking lot at 350 N Community Center Dr and the nearby softball complex offer the best view in town. Because the show starts at 10 p.m. rather than midnight, it is an option for families with younger children who want to see fireworks without staying up for the countdown. The city has not listed any other activities with the show. Questions about the show can go to the city by phone at (435) 656-6323. The fireworks are one of several community celebrations Washington City runs through the year, alongside its Pioneer Day fireworks in July.
