When people search for the brew pub in Zion, they mean Zion Canyon Brew Pub, the Zion Brewery restaurant and tavern at the north end of Springdale, right outside the south entrance of Zion National Park. This guide covers where it sits in relation to the visitor center and the shuttle, what is on the beer list and the menu, hours and parking, when to go so you are not stuck in the dinner rush, and a few other Springdale places to eat and drink. We checked every detail against zionbrewery.com, its current menu and the National Park Service shuttle page on October 8, 2026.

Where is the brew pub in Zion?

The brew pub in Zion is Zion Canyon Brew Pub, at 95 Zion Park Boulevard in Springdale, Utah, just outside the park’s south entrance. It is about a five-minute walk from the Zion Canyon Visitor Center through the park’s pedestrian entrance, and a short walk from the Zion Canyon Village stop of the free Springdale shuttle.

Getting there from the park

  • On foot from the visitor center: leave the park through the pedestrian and bike entrance next to the Zion Canyon Visitor Center, cross the footbridge, and the brew pub is a few hundred yards down Zion Park Boulevard. Keep your entrance receipt or pass so you can walk back in.
  • By Springdale shuttle: the free town shuttle runs the length of Springdale and ends at Zion Canyon Village (Stop 1), beside the pedestrian entrance. The brew pub is a short walk from that stop. Buses come every 10 to 15 minutes while the shuttle operates, which in 2026 means March 7 through November 28, then December 26 through January 2.
  • By car from St. George: take I-15 to Exit 16, then State Route 9 east through Hurricane, LaVerkin, Virgin and Rockville into Springdale, about an hour. The brew pub is the last cluster of buildings before the park entrance station. See our directions to Zion National Park.
  • From Zion Lodge or the canyon trailheads: ride the Zion Canyon shuttle back to the visitor center, then walk out. The canyon shuttle is the only way to the lodge and trailheads while the shuttle season is running, because the Scenic Drive is closed to private cars.

What to order at Zion Canyon Brew Pub

The brew pub pours its own beer and serves a scratch-made pub menu, and every dish lists a suggested beer pairing. House beers are sold by the taster ($3), pint ($8), mug ($12) or pitcher ($26). Ask the server what seasonal beer is on; the year-round list on the current menu is below.

BeerStyleWhat it is like
UltralightLight lagerThe lightest beer on the list, 100 calories and 5 grams of carbs a pint.
Engel Landen PilsnerPilsnerCrisp, with an earthy, herbal hop character.
Kinesava KölschKölschLight and refreshing, named for the peak above Springdale.
Ascender HefeweizenWheat beerHazy and bready, with banana and a touch of clove.
Springdale AmberAmber aleToasted malt with a slight fruit note.
Zion Forever Pale AleAmerican pale aleCitrus and pine hops.
Echo Canyon IPAIPATropical aroma with a piney bitterness.
Juicy IPANew England IPALow bitterness, soft mouthfeel, tropical fruit.
Burnt Mountain BrownBrown aleDried fruit, brown malt and pecan. The menu lists a 2022 Great American Beer Festival silver medal.

Zion Brewery's beer page also lists a Red Altar red ale, a Foray Pomegranate sour and a nitro stout brewed with coffee from River Rock Roasting Company in LaVerkin. Those rotate, so they may not be on tap the day you visit. Utah caps draft beer at 5% alcohol by volume, so expect sessionable pours rather than double IPAs.

Hours, phone and address last checked October 8, 2026 against zionbrewery.com and the pub's Google Business Profile. Holiday hours can differ, so call before a long drive.

  • Two rooms, two sets of rules: the brew pub is a restaurant, so all ages are welcome and Utah law requires food with any alcoholic drink. The attached Zion Brewery Tavern is a bar: 21 and over, no food order needed, with the same beers plus cocktails.
  • Reservations: none are offered online. Zion Brewery says it seats groups of two to twenty or more, so call (435) 522-1360 if you are bringing a crowd. A 20% gratuity is added for six or more.
  • Parking: Springdale's lots and street spaces are mostly paid and fill by mid-morning in peak season. If you are staying in town, leave the car at your hotel and ride the free shuttle. Parking eases in the evening as day visitors leave.
  • Patio: the beer garden patio faces the canyon walls and the Virgin River. In summer it is hot until the cliffs shade it in late afternoon; in spring and fall it is the best seat in Springdale.

Best time to visit around your park day

The pub opens at 11:30 a.m., which lines up with a morning hike. Most Zion visitors start early to beat the heat and the shuttle lines, finish a trail like Emerald Pools, the Riverside Walk or Angels Landing by late morning, and are hungry by noon. A late lunch between 1:30 and 4 p.m. is the quiet window. The crush comes from about 5:30 to 8 p.m., when day hikers and hotel guests arrive at the same time, and Springdale's restaurants fill quickly in March through May and September through October.

  • Lunch and back in: your Zion entrance pass is good for seven days, so you can walk out for lunch and re-enter the same afternoon. Details in our Zion fees and passes guide.
  • Dinner after a long hike: if you are coming off The Narrows or Angels Landing late in the day, expect a wait at dinner. Put your name in, then browse the galleries and outfitters along Zion Park Boulevard.
  • Shuttle timing: check the last Springdale shuttle departure for your date on the NPS shuttle page before you settle in. Outside the shuttle season (early January to early March, and most of December) you will need a car or a walk back to your hotel.
  • Driving home: Utah's DUI limit is 0.05, the lowest in the country, and State Route 9 back to Hurricane is a dark two-lane road. Pick a driver or book a night in Springdale.
  • Summer heat: Springdale afternoons top 100 degrees in July and August. Drink water with your beer after a hike, and go for the Ultralight or the Kölsch rather than a heavy pour.

Brew pub in Zion FAQ

Is the brew pub in Zion kid-friendly?

The restaurant side is. The brew pub menu has a kids section with chicken fingers, grilled cheese, mac and cheese and a snack plate, each served with a kids drink. The attached Zion Brewery Tavern is a bar, and Utah bars admit only guests 21 and over.

Can I bring my dog to Zion Canyon Brew Pub?

Zion Brewery does not publish a pet policy, so call (435) 522-1360 before you bring a dog, even to the patio. Pets are not allowed on the park shuttle buses or on most Zion trails, so plan for your dog before you plan for the beer.

Does Zion Canyon Brew Pub take reservations?

The brewery does not list online reservations. It says it can seat groups of two to twenty or more, so call ahead for a large party. A 20% gratuity is added for parties of six or more. For a shorter wait, arrive before 5:30 p.m. in spring and fall.

What are Utah’s alcohol rules at a brew pub near Zion?

Draft beer in Utah is capped at 5% alcohol by volume, so stronger beers come in cans or bottles. In the restaurant, Utah law requires you to order food with an alcoholic drink; the tavern side is the exception. Everyone is asked for ID, and the state’s DUI limit is 0.05.
