Historic Downtown Halloween Stroll

Cedar City's Historic Downtown Halloween Stroll is Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. on Main Street in the historic downtown. The event was formerly known as Hocus Focus. The city calendar describes family-friendly Halloween activities with trick-or-treating at participating downtown businesses, festive activities and costumes, turning the district into a Halloween town for the afternoon. It is an early-evening option for families who want to trick-or-treat before dark, when temperatures in Cedar City can drop quickly in late October. Cedar City Downtown Lighting Ceremony

Cedar City kicks off the holiday season with its Downtown Lighting Ceremony in the historic downtown, and the city's event page sets performance day for Saturday, November 28, 2026. The city describes a full day of activities, including a Christmas market with local vendors, live performances, carriage rides and unique gifts, plus the arrival of a very special guest to help celebrate the season. As the sun goes down, the highlight of the evening is the lighting of downtown, with twinkling lights, festive music, Santa, local performers, shopping and carriage rides. Performers with experience in dance, musical theater, drill team, acrobatics, cheer or singing auditioned in September, and video auditions are open until October 26. The city has not yet posted start times or a 2026 schedule, so check with the Cedar City events office (Events Director Brandon Burk, 435-865-5108) before you go.
