Silver Reef Ghost Town & Museum

History of Silver Reef

The town produced millions of dollars in silver before falling prices and flooding mines led to its decline in the mid-1880s. By 1891, the last mine had closed, and Silver Reef joined the ranks of the West's ghost towns.

Silver Reef Museum and Art Gallery

Today, the Silver Reef Museum occupies the beautifully restored Wells Fargo Express building, one of the original structures from the town's mining heyday.
