Sprouts Farmers Market

Sprouts Farmers Market is a specialty grocery store at 1525 S. River Road in St. George. The store opened on September 26, 2025, and it's open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sprouts is based in Phoenix and is one of the largest specialty retailers of fresh, natural and organic food in the United States, with more than 450 stores in 24 states when it announced the St. George location.

What's in the Store

Sprouts puts fresh produce at the center of the store, with the rest of the aisles built around what the company calls "delicious discoveries for every dietary lifestyle." That means organic, gluten-free, plant-based and non-GMO products alongside everyday groceries. For St. George shoppers following a specific diet, whether for allergies, a medical plan, or preference, a store organized around those needs saves label-reading and trips to several stores.

Local Utah Produce

Sprouts says it works with Utah growers for local produce, including Bangerter Farm, Fowers Fruit Ranch and Mountainland Apples. That matters in Southern Utah, where the desert climate and short spring and fall seasons make locally grown produce available only for limited windows. Sprouts' own local sourcing is one more way to buy Utah-grown fruit and vegetables alongside the farmers markets in St. George that run for much of the year.

Giving Back: Food Rescue

Through Sprouts' Food Rescue program, the St. George store donates groceries that can no longer be sold but are still edible and nutritious to the Utah Food Bank. As Washington County keeps growing, food assistance programs serve more families, and grocery donations help keep those shelves stocked.

Visitors staying in vacation rentals for Zion, Snow Canyon or a tournament week also need a full grocery run close to I-15.
