Two dedicated spaces—the Community Room and Conference Room B—provide areas for different activities and age groups. Children can create Halloween decorations, play spooky games, enjoy themed story times, and participate in costume contests. The library provides all materials for crafts and activities, making this a convenient, affordable way for families to celebrate Halloween. The drop-in format allows families to visit whenever convenient during the 10am-3pm window, perfect for busy schedules. This free community event creates positive Halloween memories while providing safe, educational entertainment. All ages welcome! Costumes encouraged but not required.

Kristallnacht Memorial Service - St George Library

The St. George community gathers to remember Kristallnacht (The Night of Broken Glass), the November 9-10, 1938 pogrom against Jews throughout Nazi Germany and Austria that marked a major escalation toward the Holocaust. This solemn memorial service honors the victims and survivors while educating the community about this dark chapter in history. The evening includes readings, reflections, testimony, candle lighting, and discussion about the importance of remembering the Holocaust and fighting antisemitism and hatred in all forms. Speakers may include Holocaust survivors, historians, religious leaders, and educators who help connect historical lessons to contemporary issues of prejudice, discrimination, and human rights. This interfaith community event emphasizes the universal responsibility to remember history, stand against hatred, and protect vulnerable communities. The service creates space for reflection, education, and renewed commitment to never forget. All community members are welcome to attend this important memorial observance.
