Groceries at Target

Target is a general merchandise retailer, and its St. George store page lists Grocery among the store's featured categories along with home, baby, electronics, toys, beauty, clothing and household essentials. The store also sells beer. For many households, that means everyday groceries and household supplies can be picked up in the same trip as clothing, school supplies or a birthday gift.

CVS Pharmacy and Starbucks

The store has a CVS pharmacy inside, which has its own phone line, (435) 627-2037, and its own hours, which Target posts on the store page. A Starbucks cafe inside the store also keeps separate hours. Having a pharmacy and a coffee counter in the same building is convenient for shoppers who want to drop off a prescription and finish the rest of their shopping while it's filled.

Order Pickup, Drive Up and Same Day Delivery

Target lists three ways to shop without walking the aisles: Order Pickup, where shoppers order ahead and pick up inside the store; Drive Up, where orders placed in the Target app are brought out to the car; and Same Day Delivery through Shipt. In St. George, Drive Up is especially useful from June through September, when afternoon temperatures often top 100 degrees and nobody wants to leave groceries sitting in a hot car. It's also a help for parents with young kids and for older residents.

Location on River Road

The store sits on River Road just south of St. George Boulevard, on the east side of central St. George near Dixie Regional Medical Center. River Road is one of the city's main north-south routes, so the store is a short drive from most St. George neighborhoods and from Washington.

Serving a Growing Community

As Washington County has grown, so has demand for one-stop shopping that combines groceries, household goods and a pharmacy.
