Cedar City Junior Ballet: Danse Macabre

Cedar City Junior Ballet presents Danse Macabre, a new contemporary ballet for its repertoire, on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24, 2026, at the Heritage Center Theater, 105 N 100 E in Cedar City. Tickets are $15 and are sold on the ballet company's website, one ticket listing for each night. The company describes the show as a hauntingly scary and humorous evening of ballet. Danse macabre is a French term meaning "dance of death," and the idea has roots in art and culture going back to medieval Europe. The piece is choreographed by Lynnette Imlay of Cedar City Junior Ballet, who brings unexpected humor, eerie movement and fresh choreography to the old theme. The company has more than 20 years of full-length ballet productions and classical ballet training for ages 2 through adult, and it returns to the stage with The Nutcracker on December 4 and 5. Curtain is 7:30 p.m. on the company's site and poster; the city calendar lists 7 p.m., so confirm with the company at (435) 867-4719 before you go.
