When Is the Cedar City Sheep Parade? Quick Answer
The 2026 Cedar City Sheep Parade is Saturday, October 24, at 10 a.m. A flock of sheep moves down Main Street from 200 South to 400 North as part of the Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival, October 23-25, 2026. Visit Cedar City says 2026 is the festival's 21st year. Nearly everything is free, including the quilt show, the antique tractor pulls, the ranch rodeo and the sheep shearing demos. The festival grounds are at Cross Hollows Events Center, 11 N. Cross Hollows Dr.
It's about an hour up I-15 from St. George, and it lands on peak fall weekend in the mountains above Cedar City.
Sheep Parade Tips
- Be on Main Street before 10 a.m. The route runs from 200 South to 400 North.
- Leave the dog at home. Organizers ask spectators not to bring dogs.
- Stand on the sides of the street. Don't step in front of the flock. The herders are moving real sheep, not floats.
- After the parade, head to Cross Hollows for the Saturday festival, which runs 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
