When is Red Bull Rampage? 2026 Dates and Results
Red Bull Rampage 2026 was held October 8-10 on Kolob Terrace Road outside Virgin, Utah, 30 minutes east of St. George. Robin Goomes won the women's final on October 8, her third straight title. High wind cancelled the men's final on Saturday, October 10, leaving no 2026 men's champion. Red Bull has not announced 2027 dates.

Women's final: Goomes makes it three in a row
Goomes of New Zealand trailed Hannah Bergemann after the first run, then scored 93.50 on her second to win by three quarters of a point. Red Bull says she is the first rider in Rampage history, men or women, to win three consecutive titles; she has won every women's Rampage since the category started in 2024. Her flat spin 360, the first by a woman at Rampage, earned the Utah Sports Commission Best Trick Award. The 2026 women's course shared its start gate with the men's for the first time.

Men's final: called off by wind, no 2026 champion
The men's final started Saturday morning, October 10, and nine of the 18 riders took a first run before gusts up top made the big drops unsafe. Organizers held the event for several hours waiting for the wind to ease, then cancelled the rest of the competition. Red Bull's results page says the call was made "due to adverse weather conditions" with rider, fan and staff safety as the priority. Under the rules, a winner can only be declared if every rider has had the chance to take at least one run, so 2026 goes into the books with no men's champion.
On the unfinished board, Szymon Godziek of Poland led with 90.00, Jaxson Riddle of St. George was second with 85.87, and rookie Kade Edwards was third with 84.12. Carson Storch crashed hard on a steep section of his line and was flown out by helicopter; the broadcast later said he had been cleared by medical staff and was returning to the venue. Cam Zink and Talus Turk declined to drop during the hold, Finley Kirschenmann rode down while skipping his planned features, and Tom Van Steenbergen was among the riders who never got a run; coverage also named defending champion Hayden Zablotny, Thomas Genon and Tomas Lemoine among them. Red Bull did not publish a men's results list.
The 2026 Venue: Back to the "OG" Site
On September 10, 2026, Red Bull announced that the 25th-anniversary event would return to the original venue on Kolob Terrace Road, which hosted Rampage from 2001 to 2004. It sits across the valley from the sites used in recent years. Riders used leftover features from the early years plus a new section above the original start gate. According to Red Bull:
- It was the tallest Rampage venue in history. Riders dropped about 676 feet (206 meters) from the start gate to the finish corral.
- The riders had about 90 acres of terrain to build on.
- For the first time, men and women dropped from the same start gate.
Rampage is judged, not timed. Each rider picks and builds a line from the top of the mountain to the bottom with a small dig crew and no power tools. On finals day each rider gets two runs, and the best run counts. Red Bull has not said whether the 2027 event will stay on this site.
How Spectating Works (for 2027)
Rampage is a ticketed event on remote BLM land, and the 2026 edition is the best guide to what 2027 will look like. Tickets went on sale August 26, 2026, through Red Bull's ticketing partner, Leap, and nothing was sold at the gate. Every attendee needed a ticket whatever their age, everyone signed a waiver on arrival, minors had to be with a ticketed adult, and tickets were non-refundable. Prices excluded a $1.50-per-ticket service fee. Hike + Bike tickets allowed only non-electric bikes and Class 1 e-bikes, with a free bike valet on site, and Premium Parking tickets allowed no bikes. Expect the men's single-day and shuttle tickets to go first again.
What spectators need to know
Red Bull's spectator advisory is blunt: the venue is remote, hot, dangerous, and unforgiving, and "this isn't a resort." The 2026 men's cancellation is the other lesson: finals can be delayed or called off by wind, and tickets are not refunded for weather. Before you go:
- Plan for a hike. Every ticket type involves walking over rough terrain. Red Bull warns of steep exposure, falling rock, elevation gain, cacti, and sun and heat exposure.
- Stay where you're told. Spectators are limited to designated viewing areas at the base of the course, near the finish line.
- Bring your own supplies. A reusable water bottle for the free water stations, plus snacks, sunscreen, layers, basic first aid, and a headlamp. Some food and bottled water are sold, but no alcohol is sold on site.
- Leave these at home: pets, drones, and any wireless or RF gear such as audio or video transmitters. Personal motorized vehicles aren't allowed either.
- Expect traffic on Kolob Terrace Road on competition days, and leave early. Your ticket type decides where you park.
How to Watch the 2026 Replays
Red Bull streamed both 2026 finals free on Red Bull TV and the Red Bull Bike YouTube channel, and bars and restaurants with Atmosphere TV could show them live. The women's final and the men's runs that did happen are available afterward: Pinkbike posted the women's final replay and men's highlights, and Red Bull's winner's recap covers Goomes's run. In 2025, Rampage streamed in the U.S. only on ESPN+, so check Red Bull's event page for the U.S. option when 2027 is announced.
Local Riders at Rampage 2026
Red Bull's 2026 rosters listed 18 men and 12 women, several with Southern Utah ties:
- Jaxson Riddle, St. George. His first run scored 85.87, second on the board when the men's final was cancelled. He's a husband, a father of two, and a mental health advocate.
- Reed Boggs, Virgin. He grew up in Ohio and moved west to chase a Rampage win.
- Connor Gallart, Hurricane. A rookie who grew up in Aptos, California, and served six years in the U.S. Coast Guard before riding full time.
- Finley Kirschenmann, Sandy, Utah. At 19, the youngest rider on the men's roster; he dropped in on Saturday but rode around his planned features in the wind.
Because the men's final was not completed, Red Bull published no men's placings, and we have not found a published first-run score for Boggs or Gallart. Defending champion Hayden Zablotny, who won as a first-timer in 2025, was reported among the riders who never got a run. Two-time winner Cam Zink (2010 and 2023), who made his Rampage debut at this same venue in 2003, declined to drop during the wind hold.

25 Years, 20 Editions
Rampage started in 2001 and wasn't held every year. The 2026 event was the 20th edition, over 25 years of freeride. Past winners include Wade Simmons (2001, the first event, on this same site), Brandon Semenuk (a record five wins), Kurt Sorge (three), Kyle Strait (two), Brett Rheeder (two), Cam Zink (two), Hayden Zablotny (2025), and Robin Goomes, the only three-time women's winner (2024, 2025, 2026).
Getting to Virgin from St. George
Virgin is on State Route 9 between Hurricane and Springdale, the gateway to Zion National Park. From St. George, take I-15 north to Exit 16, then SR-9 east through Hurricane and La Verkin to Virgin, about 30 minutes without event traffic. Kolob Terrace Road leaves SR-9 in the middle of Virgin and climbs north toward Lava Point and Kolob Reservoir; the Rampage venue is a short way up it, and on competition days traffic control and your ticket type decide where you park. Hurricane has the closest hotels, fuel and groceries; Springdale is about 20 minutes further east.
Make a Trip of It
- Ride it yourself. Southern Utah has some of the best mountain biking in the country. See mountain biking near St. George. For shops and rentals, try Red Rock Bicycle Co. in St. George or Zion Cycles in Springdale.
- Check the road first. SR-9 inside Zion was closed east of Canyon Junction after a September 30, 2026 rockfall; the road from Hurricane to Virgin and Kolob Terrace Road were not affected. See our SR-9 reopening update for the current status.
- Stay nearby. Virgin sits between Hurricane and Springdale; both have lodging, and St. George has the most hotels.
