Araujo Brazilian Kitchen is a family-run Brazilian restaurant in Suite 16B of The Shoppes at Zion, 250 N Red Cliffs Dr, on the east side of I-15 in St. George. It opened in 2026 and serves lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; it is closed on Sunday. The restaurant's own account of how it started is simple: on a family trip to Las Vegas, the family ate at a well-known Brazilian restaurant hoping to taste home and left disappointed, and around that table, adults and children together, they promised each other they would one day open a Brazilian restaurant that truly represents Brazil. The tagline they chose is "Where Brazil Feels Like Home."

What Is on the Menu

The menu is Brazilian everyday food rather than an all-you-can-eat steakhouse. Three house specialties lead it. The Feijoada Plate ($19.50) is the black bean stew slow-cooked with pork, smoked sausage and bacon, served with rice, farofa, collard greens, orange slices and vinagrete. The Tropeiro Plate ($17) is pinto beans with garlic, onion, bacon, egg and toasted cassava flour, served with grilled pork and crispy pork belly. The Chicken Stroganoff Plate ($17) is the Brazilian version, chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce with rice, fries and a house salad.

The Barbecue Plate ($14 to $21) is a choice of grilled meat in 4, 6 or 8 ounces with rice, pinto beans and vinagrete, and the Fitness Plate ($20) pairs two meats with salads instead of starches. A Kids Plate is $9. For groups there is a Family Feast ($80, 30 ounces of grilled meat with sides, serves 4 to 5) and a Party Feast ($160, 60 ounces, serves 8 to 10).

Snacks are the ones Brazilians grow up on: coxinha (chicken croquettes), pão de queijo (cheese bread made with tapioca flour), fried cassava and kibe. Desserts include brigadeiro cake and truffles, pudim (Brazilian flan), passion fruit mousse and two açaí bowls. Drinks include Brazilian limonada, pineapple-mint and mango-lime, and cans of Guaraná Antarctica. The menu notes that dishes may contain gluten, soy, milk, eggs and dairy.

Brazilian Food in St. George

Most Brazilian dining in Southern Utah has meant churrascaria-style steakhouses, where servers carve meat at the table.
