Cedar Veterinary Clinic is owned and led by Dr. Heather Johnson, DVM, a Cedar City native who earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern Utah University in 2008 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After practicing small-animal medicine in St. George, Dr. Johnson returned to her hometown in 2018 and purchased Cedar Veterinary Clinic upon the retirement of its previous owner. The hospital operates as a Fear Free-certified veterinary practice, using low-stress handling techniques and calming clinic protocols designed to reduce anxiety for dogs and cats during examinations and procedures.
