Dr. Amy Murdock, a 2007 graduate of the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine with background in local emergency practice, established Lava Rock Veterinary Hospital to treat acute illnesses and injuries when a pet's regular veterinarian is booked or closed for the evening. The hospital is a member of the Independent Veterinary Practitioners Association (IVPA).

• Same-Day Urgent and Walk-In Care: Treatment for sudden vomiting, diarrhea, toxin ingestion, allergic reactions, lameness, wound and laceration repair, ear and eye infections, and heat-related distress.
