The Desert Vet is a locally owned small-animal veterinary clinic located at 470 W State St in Hurricane, Utah, providing medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats across Hurricane Valley, LaVerkin, Toquerville, and eastern Washington County since 1995.

Independent Veterinary Medicine Led by Dr. Allen Bice, DVM

Founded in 1995 by Dr. Allen Bice, DVM, following his graduation from Colorado State University in 1988 and service in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, The Desert Vet has remained 100 percent independently owned for more than three decades. Situated along West State Street in central Hurricane, the clinic emphasizes practical, compassionate veterinary care where pet owners meet directly with Dr. Bice and his long-serving clinical staff.

Wellness Exams, Soft-Tissue Surgery, and Pet Dentistry

Open Monday through Friday (with a daily midday break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM), The Desert Vet offers comprehensive outpatient and surgical veterinary services:

• Preventative Wellness and Vaccinations: Annual canine and feline physical exams, core and lifestyle vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, and senior pet health screenings.


• Veterinary Surgery and Dentistry: Spay and neuter procedures, soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries, mass removals, laceration repairs, ultrasonic dental scaling, and tooth extractions.


• In-House Diagnostics and Digital X-Rays: Same-day blood chemistry panels, hematology, urinalysis, and digital radiography for rapid diagnosis of acute illnesses and injuries.
