Founded in 1956 by Landon and Wanda Frei, who began selling freshly picked apples from a folding card table under the shade trees along old Highway 91, Frei's Fruit Market is today operated by second-generation family members Vicki Frei Lasswell and Bryce Frei. Standing as the last surviving historic roadside fruit market along Santa Clara Drive, the shop preserves the agricultural heritage introduced by Santa Clara's 19th-century Swiss orchardists.

Open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (and closed Sunday), Frei's Fruit Market stocks seasonal orchard harvests and year-round pantry staples:

• Seasonal Orchard Fruit and Garden Produce: Tree-ripened Santa Clara and Utah peaches, sweet cherries, apricots, apples, pears, plums, pomegranates, watermelons, vine-ripened tomatoes, and squash.


• Homemade Jams, Syrups, and Local Honey: Small-batch bottled jams, jellies, fruit syrups, pickled vegetables, salsas, and raw Southern Utah honey.


• Dried Fruits, Nuts, and Old-Fashioned Confections: Shelled and in-shell nuts, sun-dried fruits, and nostalgic country-store treats.
