La Verkin Winterfest 5K and 10K Race

The LaVerkin Winterfest 5K and 10K Race starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at Wanlass Park, 320 N Main St in LaVerkin, as part of LaVerkin Winterfest. The 10K is an out-and-back that runs north on Main Street, turns onto Highway 9 and then onto a dirt road for about half a mile to the aid station and turnaround; the first half is mostly uphill and the second half is fast. The 5K loops the east side of town. Packet pickup is Friday, December 4, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the City Office Building or Saturday from 7:30 a.m. at Wanlass Park, and a runners-only treasure hunt starts at 8:15 a.m. Registration is $25 through November 12, then $30, with no same-day registration, and every participant receives a long-sleeve tech shirt. Runners sign a waiver at packet pickup. For more of the weekend, see our Christmas events in Southern Utah guide.
