The Forgotten Carols

The Forgotten Carols, the Christmas musical by songwriter Michael McLean, returns to St. George on Thursday, December 3, 2026, with two performances at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the America First Performing Arts Center at Utah Tech University, the renovated venue formerly known as the Cox Auditorium. This is the show's 34th annual tour. The story follows Connie Lou, a nurse whose empty life changes when a new patient, Uncle John, tells the story of Christ's birth through little-known characters in the nativity, including the Innkeeper and the Shepherd. The production includes songs such as "Homeless" from McLean's original album, performed by musical theater singers, along with plenty of comedy. McLean has performed The Forgotten Carols for more than a million people since 1991. The organizers will strictly enforce their policy that no children 2 and under, including babes in arms, are allowed in the auditorium. Tickets for both shows are sold through the Utah Tech ticket office, and questions can go to [email protected]. For more holiday shows, see our Christmas events in Southern Utah guide.
