Thunder Junction 10-Year Anniversary & Phase II Groundbreaking

The City of St. George is marking ten years of Thunder Junction All Abilities Park with an anniversary party on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the dinosaur-themed park, 1851 S Dixie Dr in St. George. The city lists food trucks, games, music, face painting and magic shows, and rides on the C.P. Huntington train are free for everyone during the celebration (train rides normally cost $2 per person). Community resource booths will connect guests with organizations that provide services to people with disabilities. The evening also includes the groundbreaking ceremony for Thunder Junction Phase II, a 2.5-acre expansion that will add Ice Age-themed equipment, rides and amenities built for inclusive play, along with an additional train stop and new slides and play features. The city says sponsorship opportunities for the expansion will be offered to local businesses and individuals, so the event is also an early look at the plans. Park admission is free year-round.
