Cedar Sports is a locally owned four-season outdoor gear, ski, snowboard, and mountain bike shop located at 97 W Center St in downtown Cedar City, Utah, outfitting residents and visitors heading to Brian Head Resort, Cedar Breaks National Monument, and Zion National Park.

Born at Southern Utah University and Built for Four-Season Adventure

Cedar Sports was originally founded by local outdoor enthusiasts David and Leisel Whitmore alongside Jaxon and Sarah Haderlie while studying at Southern Utah University, earning recognition as a finalist in the 2017 Utah Entrepreneur Challenge. Owned and operated by David Whitmore at the corner of 100 West and Center Street, the shop serves as a convenient downtown basecamp on the highway corridor linking Interstate 15 with Cedar Canyon and Brian Head.

Winter Ski Rentals, Summer Bikes, and Full-Service Tuning

Open seven days a week from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Cedar Sports provides year-round equipment rentals, retail sales, and repair services:

• Winter Ski and Snowboard Rentals & Tuning: Daily and seasonal ski and snowboard rental packages, snowshoes, custom boot fitting, hot waxing, edge sharpening, and base repairs.


• Mountain Bike Rentals and Repair Shop: Trail and electric bike rentals, retail bikes and parts, and a full-service bicycle mechanic shop for tune-ups, brake bleeds, and suspension service.


• Watercraft and Canyoneering Gear: Kayak and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals, climbing and canyoneering hardware, camping equipment, and outdoor apparel.
