DQG Board Meeting - Dixie Quilt Guild

The Dixie Quilt Guild Board holds its regular monthly meeting to discuss guild business, plan upcoming events, and coordinate activities for the quilting community. The drop-in format allows families to visit whenever convenient during the 10am-3pm window, perfect for busy schedules. This free community event creates positive Halloween memories while providing safe, educational entertainment. All ages welcome! Costumes encouraged but not required.

The St. George community gathers to remember Kristallnacht (The Night of Broken Glass), the November 9-10, 1938 pogrom against Jews throughout Nazi Germany and Austria that marked a major escalation toward the Holocaust. This solemn memorial service honors the victims and survivors while educating the community about this dark chapter in history. The evening includes readings, reflections, testimony, candle lighting, and discussion about the importance of remembering the Holocaust and fighting antisemitism and hatred in all forms. Speakers may include Holocaust survivors, historians, religious leaders, and educators who help connect historical lessons to contemporary issues of prejudice, discrimination, and human rights.
