Good morning, Southern Utah, and happy Sunday. The National Weather Service forecast for St. George calls for a partly sunny day with a high near 76 and a light east breeze, dropping to about 56 tonight. Sundays are quiet around here, and a few fall favorites are closed today, but there is still a soccer match, a horseback circus, a pumpkin patch, and two Halloween walks to fill the day.

This Afternoon

Utah Tech Women's Soccer vs. Northern Arizona: 1 p.m.

Utah Tech hosts Northern Arizona at Greater Zion Stadium, 501 S 700 E, at 1 p.m. With a mid-70s afternoon in the forecast, it is a comfortable day to sit in the stands. If you cannot make it, the match streams on ESPN+.

Cirque Ma'Ceo's Last Day in Cedar City: 1 and 4 p.m.

Today is the last chance to see Cirque Ma'Ceo before it leaves Utah. The touring show, presented by Cavallo Equestrian Arts, has been at Cross Hollow Arenas in Cedar City since October 9. It mixes horseback riding with acrobatics and aerial dance under a big top tent, set to Spanish guitar. According to the company, the cast includes horses of more than ten breeds, performing everything from Cossack trick riding to classical dressage. Tickets for the 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. shows are sold on the Cirque Ma'Ceo ticket site. Next stop: Lake Havasu City, Arizona, October 23-25.

Pumpkin Patch at Promise House: Noon to 7 p.m.

The pumpkin patch at Promise House, 272 S Valley View Dr, opened yesterday and is open every day from noon to 7 p.m. through Halloween. It is one of the few pumpkin patches in town open on a Sunday. Walking in and the photo booths are free whether or not you buy a pumpkin. All profits go to Promise Studio, a community outreach ministry of New Promise Lutheran Church, and Manos Amigas Utah, a nonprofit serving families in southwest Utah.

In Cedar City: SUU Soccer and Softball

If you head north for the circus, Southern Utah University women's soccer hosts Northern Colorado at 1 p.m. at Thunderbird Soccer Field, and SUU softball plays Salt Lake Community College at 3:30 p.m.

Tonight

Scarecrow Walk & Haunted Canyon: 5 to 10 p.m.

The easiest outing of the night is free. Dozens of scarecrows built by local residents and businesses line the paths at Red Hills Desert Garden, 375 E Red Hills Parkway, and the garden's slot canyon is dressed up with skeletons and spiders as the Haunted Canyon. The Washington County Water Conservancy District presents it nightly from 5 to 10 p.m. through October 31. It is spooky enough for small kids to enjoy without being scary.

Fiesta Fright: 7 to 9 p.m.

For a real scare, Fiesta Fright, the two-story haunted house at Fiesta Fun Center, 171 E 1160 S, is open tonight, but only from 7 to 9 p.m., earlier and shorter than its weekend nights. General admission is $18.95, or $24.95 with one Fiesta Fun attraction such as go-karts or laser tag. Fiesta Fun warns of heavy strobe and fog effects, the house is not wheelchair accessible, and all ticket sales are final. After tonight, the remaining nights are October 23-24, the "Lights Out" headlamp nights on October 28-29, and October 30-31.

Closed today

Staheli Family Farm in Washington is closed on Sundays, so its corn maze, pumpkin patch, and Field of Screams are dark today. The Farm Fall Festival at Fisher Family Farm in Hurricane runs Monday through Saturday only. The Saturday farmers markets return next week.
